Q4 2008 Campaign - San Diego Hospice
San Diego Hospice was established as the original hospice program in San Diego County in 1977. Since then, they have added comprehensive palliative care services which is treatment to relieve their patients rather than try to cure them, usually systems caused by cancer. Palliative Care helps patients live comfortably. They have also added physician consultation services, comprehensive bereavement support and education, a specialized children’s program. They exist to make a difference. To relieve suffering. To restore dignity. To comfort people living with a life-limiting disease.
